Sprint Review: February 14 – February 27, 2022

This post is a review of the sprint taking place February 14, 2022, to February 27, 2022. The tasks in this sprint were related to Bleakpoint Incident and Bottle World.

The tasks

This sprint included some work on the outline of Bleakpoint Incident, and corresponding second drafts for the first three chapters. The outline work is still in progress, as I’m finding myself hammering out far more details in the outline than I had previously. The first two chapters did get second drafts! The third was started, but not quite finished. The outline edits and the the second draft of chapter 3 will be moved ahead to the next sprint.

Also on this sprint were some tasks for Bottle World: The Key Suspect. It’s getting there! I had to make some edits to the colors and send for another proof – hopefully the last one. I also did a lot of technical work for the ebook version and the web version, because I’m planning on having this comic available as a free-to-read webcomic and as a downloadable ebook, as well as in print. Options are good!

I also managed to punch out the very rough sketches for the Bottle World minicomic scripted last sprint, and I got the second part of it scripted, as well! So the next sprint will involve sketching the second part and scripting the third.

Next sprint

The next sprint will include the tasks on Bleakpoint Incident that weren’t finished this time around, and possibly another chapter’s second draft beyond that. I’m also going to do the script for BW:WFYB 3, and the thumbnails for BW:WFYB 2. I don’t think there’s anything for The Key Suspect this time around, since I’m waiting for the proof and almost everything else is done.
